Autumn Passages

He was a friend to everyone and never met a stranger. He loved to host parties at his home. His cooking was legendary. He loved a good wine and a great single malt scotch.

From the obituary for Arthur Hollister III published in East Bay Times on Oct. 30, 2020.

It is with a heavy heart that we say good by to our dear friend, donor and volunteer Chip Hollister.

Chip passed away a few weeks ago from cancer related causes. He and his wife Susie have been longtime friends and supporters of Lazarex Cancer Foundation. In fact, we consider them family. If you attended a Lazarex event you most likely saw them working together, photographing our guests and venues, setting up their subjects with cheerful smiles and good conversation.

They also hosted annual BBQ dinners for the Lazarex staff and companions, where we enjoyed their company and culinary skills (especially the BBQ ribs), and learned about their latest adventures!

Please say a prayer for Chip in his newest adventure, and for Susie in this time of love and change.
