Matthew’s Story

From Matthew’s Mom: Here are few photos of Matt. The first was during frontline treatment, the second a couple years ago with his Beads of Courage and the last one more recent. I’m not sure if you’re familiar with Beads of Courage but kids get a bead for every procedure/surgery/dose treatment (each a different color) to string together – Matt’s chain is over 20 ft long and I did an abbreviated version!

Warrior Matthew (11) has been battling Stage 4 High Risk Neuroblastoma for most of his life, he was diagnosed just before his 3rd birthday in 2011. After numerous relapses through the years, he’s finally NED (no evidence of disease) and doing well thanks to cutting edge immunotherapy trials available exclusively at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Clinic in New York.

Lazarex has made a huge difference in our ability to access latest cancer treatment options for our child. As a family, we were able to commit to this year long trial knowing we had help with the travel costs.
